Extra-Curricular Programs

Our highly trained Educators are committed to making every day fun, exciting and rewarding for the children.

As part of our Early Years and Kindergarten Educational Program, children are invited to participate in a range of excursions and incursions.

Excursions include a visit to Ipswich Light Gallery and the Library, as well as a Woolworths Tour.

Incursions include Henny Penny Hatching, multi-cultural shows, Ocean Life and Dentist Talks.

In Kindergarten, children will have access to the Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) Program – a digital, play-based program which includes a series of interactive applications, introducing young children to languages other than English in an early learning setting, to encourage language learning in later years.

The ELLA Program has been developed in consultation with experts in languages, early childhood and technology and is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the Australian Curriculum: Foundation.

Children will also participate in Read It Again – KindergartenQ!, in consultation with Stretton State College. Fostering children’s language and literacy and to support children in their transition from Kindergarten to Prep. Read It Again is designed to strengthen children’s early foundations in four key areas of language and literacy: vocabulary, narrative, phonological awareness and print knowledge.

All these extra-curricular programs are available at no extra cost at Stretton Early Years and Kindergarten.
