The children also receive a Certificate of Participation, that they can take home and proudly discuss with their families.
At Stretton Early Years and Kindergarten, we’re a local family owned and operated Centre, so we understand what families on Brisbane’s southside need in order to thrive. We are ideally located in an Educational Precinct and are in close proximity to numerous local schools.
We’re committed to providing a welcoming, safe and fun learning environment for your child, from 15 months old, to Kindergarten, ensuring they feel supported and nurtured as they discover, learn and play.
Stretton Early Years and Kindergarten meets National Quality Standards and our highly qualified staff are all handpicked, holding a Diploma, or working towards their Diploma. We have two fully qualified Kindergarten Teachers – one with a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) and one with a Masters in Teaching.
That means we’re able to offer two Government Approved Kindergarten programs, with qualified teachers in each room.
And we’re proud to be a multi-cultural Early Years and Kindergarten, with around 97 different cultures represented amongst our 130 families and staff. Some of our staff are also bi-lingual (speaking Mandarin, Hindi, Korean, and Cantonese), which can be very helpful and reassuring to families where English isn’t their first language.
Your child will love our numerous free learning programs throughout the year. Including in service experiences like Henny Penny Hatching, Ocean Life & multi-cultural dance and instrumental shows, as well as excursions like our Woolworths Tour, Ipswich Light Gallery and the library.
All these in service experiences and excursions take place at no extra cost.
Nutritious meals are also included every day at no extra cost, made fresh onsite by our resident cook. And we can cater to all allergies and religious dietary requirements. We also endeavour to be a nut and egg free Centre.
We’ve created an online community for our families, using StoryPark. It’s where families can connect and you can see what your child has been up to each day at Stretton Early Years and Kindergarten. Including the projects they were involved with, learning stories and photos of their activities, so you always know what they’re learning and how they’re interacting. It’s a great conversation starter between you and your child at home.
StoryPark is also where you’ll find parent information and announcements, so you’re always up-to-date with upcoming events and activities. The StoryPark community is only open to Stretton Early Years and Kindergarten families, to ensure privacy.
